京都共栄学園中学校・高等学校からのご挨拶
昭和23年に小野山利雄先生によって創立された本学園は、幾多の変遷を経て昭和54年に京都共栄学園中学校・高等学校に校名変更され今日に至ります。その間、各方面で活躍される多くの人材を輩出してきた本学園は、地域の期待を担う北近畿随一の進学校として歩み続けております。
本学園の建学の精神は“自立共栄”、校訓は“気魄・信念・自治”です。
その精神に基づき、本学園のスクールミッション（存在意義）を「生徒の多様な価値観と個性を尊重し、志を持って豊かな未来を創る人を導き育てる、北近畿随一の教育拠点であり続けること」と定めて教育活動を行っております。
また本学園の①育成を目指す資質・能力に関する方針、②教育課程の編成及び実施に関する方針、③入学者の受入れに関する方針は次の通りです。
①育成を目指す資質・能力に関する方針：受け入れた生徒に対し、未来を創る4つの力として、「課題を解決できる力」、「学びを深め探究する力」、「誰かのために行動する力」、「世界で活躍できる力」を育てていきます。
②教育課程の編成及び実施に関する方針：上記の未来を創る4つの力を育成するために、各教科の学習と本学独自の探究活動・グローバル教育などを組み合わせた教育課程を編成し、クラブ活動や希望者向けプログラムなどと共に充実させていきます。
③入学者の受入れに関する方針：本校の教育方針に共感いただける次のような皆さんに入学していただきたいと考えています。「基礎学力を有する人」、「好奇心や探求心が豊かな人」、「自らを高めたい人」、「他者を尊敬できる人」。
生徒の皆さんが、天からの使命（各自が持って生れた素晴らしさをどう役立てるか）に気づき、世界の中で日本が置かれている状況を理解し、地域のために、日本のために、そして世界のために各自は何ができるのかをこの学園で見つけ、そういった世界で活躍できる人材に成長されることのお手伝いができることを教職員一同とても楽しみにしています。今後とも、本校の保護者の皆様、地域の皆様、そして卒業生の皆様からのご理解とご支援を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

Greetings from Kyoei Gakuen Junior and High School
Principal of the Junior and High School Kazuhiro Chris Shiomi
Kyoei Gakuen was established in 1948 by Mr. Toshio Onoyama. After undergoing several changes over the years, it was renamed Kyoei Gakuen Junior and High School in 1979 and continues to this day. Throughout this time, our school has produced many individuals who have excelled in various fields and continues to progress as the foremost academic institution in the northern Kinki region, meeting the expectations of the local community.
The founding spirit of our school is “Self-Reliance and Mutual Prosperity”, and our school motto is “Spirit, Conviction, and Autonomy.”
Based on this spirit, our school’s mission (purpose of existence) is defined as:
“To remain the foremost educational hub in the northern Kinki region, which respects students’ diverse values and individuality, and nurtures individuals who, with ambition, can create a rich future.”
Additionally, our school has established the following policies:
- Policy on Qualities and Abilities to Be Fostered:
We aim to cultivate the following four abilities, referred to as the “Four Powers to Create the Future,” in our students:- The ability to solve problems.
- The ability to deepen learning and pursue inquiry.
- The ability to act for the sake of others.
- The ability to thrive globally.
- Policy on Curriculum Design and Implementation:
To foster the aforementioned “Four Powers to Create the Future,” we will establish a curriculum that combines subject learning with our unique inquiry-based activities and global education. This curriculum will be further enhanced through club activities and optional programs for students. - Policy on Admission of Students:
We wish to welcome those who can empathize with our educational philosophy, particularly those who are:- Equipped with basic academic skills.
- Rich in curiosity and a spirit of inquiry.
- Eager to improve themselves.
- Able to respect others.
We eagerly look forward to supporting our students in discovering their mission from heaven (how to make use of the wonderful qualities they were born with), understanding Japan’s place in the world, and finding what they can do for their community, their country, and the world through their experiences at our school.
